Increase Your Prosperity with the Boomerang Effect

Here’s what most folks don’t understand about the writer’s life: It doesn’t choose you.You choose it. Too many people think being a writer is preordained. Like you have to be born with an uncanny mastery over words to even earn the label “writer.”

It follows that they’d think the writer’s life, complete with money, freedom, and admiration, only comes to those preselected by fate.

I’m here to tell you, “NOPE!” That’s not it at all.

You have to choose this lifestyle … and there’s a lot more to it than being able to string together clever sentences.

Thoughts on True Wealth

Most people equate true wealth with acquiring a million dollars in their bank account. But what if you suddenly receive a million or 10 million dollars right now, would you be satisfied? Is true wealth based on playing or adding up numbers or is there something more to it, something much more important.

The Christmas time is fast approaching and many would expect remakes or reruns of the old Christmas Carol story starring Ebenizer Scrooge, who was portrayed to be very wealthy but was too cheap to even add heat to his own living quarters. He was living a miserable life until he met the ghosts of Christmas past, the present, and the future. Compare his way of life to that of his clerk that although poor and burdened with several children, was portrayed as happy and satisfied at being a great father.

Breaking Free from the Economic Gloom

I walked downstairs a few minutes ago and saw that my wife was watching a little CNN (helping us stay up-to-date on the latest world happenings...), and one of the headlines that jumped out at me was the words: "Economic Gloom".

This got me thinking...

From my point of view, I see that much of the world is in a state of PANIC about the economy. There certainly may be good reason for concern, but too much concern will also certainly create the reality that you wish to avoid through the law of attraction.

It is true that what you think about most of the time shows up in your life. For example, if you're THINKING about why you can't accomplish some goal of yours, sure enough all the reasons that you *find* for why you can't will affect your emotions and therefore the actions that you will or won't take toward that goal. Therefore, by thinking *why* you can't, you're making sure that you don't.

Enjoying Your Work from Home

For many people the ultimate dream is to escape from the rat race and work from home. To some people who have achieved this dream it has turned into the ultimate nightmare!

With the daily stresses of life, work and commuting, working from home appears to be the only way out – but it is not as easy and idyllic as it sounds. If you are seriously thinking about setting up a business on your own and working from home, you should first learn the pitfalls and understand what you can do to avoid them.

* Understanding Your Motivation

It can be too tempting to stay in bed for ‘a little longer’ when you are working at home. The need to get up and beat the early morning traffic and be at your desk by 8.30am is missing when you literally only have a short walk to your new place of work.

If you want to be effective in your new work environment you have to find a motivator which is sufficiently strong enough to get you up and about and at your desk by your appointed time. To find out what your motivator is cast your mind back to why you wanted to work from home in the first place.

Fight Back Recession with Virtual Assistants

It seems that everywhere we turn these days there is talk of another looming recession. Yikes!  What to do?  Where to turn?  What about virtual assistance and virtual staffing?  The good news is those tools exist now, which didn’t exist in recessions past, to help businesses through these tough times.  In the old days a recession meant certain death for a good many businesses.  Today, it doesn’t have to!

For years now companies have embraced the concept of hiring virtual assistants through virtual staffing agencies in order to save on payroll and bricks and mortar overhead costs.  Perhaps the time has come for your company to give virtual work a go – so when the crunch strikes your business is primed and ready for whatever comes next.

Telecommuting: A New Way to Make Money Working from Home

Telecommuting jobs are great opportunities to make money working from home. But be wary of the great many scams that claim you will earn a lot of money in a very short period of time. Many of these so-called opportunities are designed to take your money – and what you will receive in return are just basic instructions on how to place an AD identical to the one you responded to. The “earning” that you get here is the same fee that you will charge the next poor guy that comes along in order to receive the same bogus instructions.

Scams are quite common among work-from-home job offers. If any telecommuting job or virtual assistant work you are considering requires you to pay a fee or purchase materials – then it is most likely a scam. You will need to research any work from home job offers you are considering very carefully to make sure that the offer is legitimate and the company is reputable.

Your Home Business: Turning Pennies into Dollars

Henry Ford taught us that to simplify the manufacture of automobiles, that the best way to do so was to install the assembly line. That one change revolutionized the auto manufacturing industry permitting the industry to build cars at a cost whereas the average person could afford to buy one.

The lesson we should take from this is that having the ability to improve the process of getting the job quicker and cheaper, without compromising the quality of the job being done, will help catapult the person who simplified the process to the top of his/her field.

Pennies saved in your home business can turn into dollars at the end of the day, and dollars can quickly multiply into hundreds or thousands of dollars over time.

Get Mad!

I mean it... Get *REALLY* mad!

Get MAD anytime you have to do something that you don't really want to do (like going to work FOR
SOMEBODY ELSE early in the morning)...

Get MAD for all the times you've wanted to buy something nice for yourself, go on a vacation, take the day off, or (insert your desires here) but couldn't afford it...

Get MAD if you've ever worried when the stock market goes down...

Get MAD if there has ever been an opportunity to improve your life or the life of people you love, but you couldn't take advantage of it because of time or financial limitations...

Get MAD if what you *REALLY* wish you could do in this life isn't happening YET...

Why I'm a telling you to get mad? Don't all the self-help materials tell you to keep a positive attitude... things will "work out"???

Guess what... THEY'RE WRONG!

Networking Your Home Business within Circles of Influence

When you need an auto mechanic or an air conditioning repairman, where do you turn for help? Sure, some people turn to the yellow pages. But most will turn to friends and family and ask if they know of anyone who can do the work.

The best place for your business to be positioned is to be the business on the tips of the tongues of the people asked to make the referral.

The 300 Rule

Preachers, funeral directors and people in a few other professions have learned "the 300 rule" through their own personal experience.

"The 300 rule" states that the average person knows 300 people on a friendly level. Wedding planners tend to make reservations for 300 guests. Funeral directors tend to need to make room for 300 mourners. You get the idea.

Is Money Good or Bad?

Several people have long nurtured the misconception that money is evil, when it fact it is neither evil nor good. It's what people do with money that makes it evil or good. The Biblical reference actually states that the "LOVE" of money is the root of all evil and not money in itself.

When you succumb to the allures of money and make it your master, or your god, then it becomes all wrong. When you take control over money and manage it wisely and use it for good purposes, then it is definitely a very good thing. Using it for God's purpose in your life is an act of good stewardship and is a form of personal worship, which makes it an instrument for good.

Being wealthy is not an evil thing, but what you do with your wealth determines whether you are good or bad. The Bible states that wealth comes from God and that He gives us the ability to produce wealth. It only becomes evil if it is used for evil purposes. There are several wealthy persons in the Bible and throughout history who are good, or have made good use of their wealth to help others, particularly the poor. Rich people have the opportunity to do good for others through the ministry of giving and there are several channels available for people to do so.

As long as your wealth is acquired in a good and Godly manner, meaning your money was obtained or worked for through fair and honest means then you should not feel any guilt for becoming wealthy. It is but proper that you enjoy the use of this wealth or money, including helping others who could not help themselves. In fact, you should even realize that the reason why you have such wealth could be just that - to help others with your money and to do good.

Join me, in this journey to discover the reasons why we have money and how you can manage your money wisely and properly and achieve true prosperity - and how you can learn to use your wealth and money to do good and help others.

Understanding the Difference between Marketing & Promotion

Are you an online marketer? Or do you simply promote affiliate programs? Marketing is truly the most misunderstood word in use today on the Internet. Let me see if I can clarify this issue just a bit.

In Marketing 101 at your local university, marketing is actually the process of Product, Place, Price and Promotion.

Product

No business can exist without a product or service to sell.

In a nutshell, entrepreneurs are the people who believe in a product, service or idea, so much that they are willing to invest their lives into the development of their dream.

Historically, every major corporation in the world was started by an entrepreneur with a dream and the drive to make it a reality.

However, there comes a time in the life of every corporation when those who fear the gambling nature of their founder, squash the entrepreneurial drive that made the company a viable concern in the first place. The entrepreneur will either submit to the careful nature of the stockholders, or he will be forced to leave the company he created.

The only entrepreneurs who withstand the pressure to move more carefully are those who have maintained majority control over their companies.

Knowing the Value of Savings

A person who knows the true value and meaning of money should also know the importance and the value of saving money. There are a number of reasons why this is so but it all boils down to three basic things.

The first and foremost importance of savings is during times of financial crisis, like the one the country and the rest of the world is having right now. Other forms of crisis may include illness, unemployment, business failure, a death in the family, or even a natural calamity just like the recent devastating typhoon that struck the Philippines and Southeast Asia. A substantial amount of savings can help an individual or a family weather through the crisis, and help get their feet back on track. Without savings, the situation may get from bad to worse, with the individual or the family getting into debt that would take years to recover from.

Savings allows an individual or a family to purchase the things that they need that can add comfort and improve the quality of their lives. Having extra funds in the bank can also help you engage in a profitable business should the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity comes, and improve your life much further. It is of no doubt that most married couples have engaged themselves in an argument over money at least once in their relationships. With savings, such concerns can be avoided as the couple may be free to focus on other aspects that could further improve their relationship instead of dwelling in such money issues.

The health and wellness industry has been booming for years now with trends, technologies and innovations available that not only cures and prevents diseases but can also increase longevity. As such, people can live longer and healthier. However, without savings tucked securely in the bank, the individual or the couple will not be able to enjoy their retirement and old age much. In worse cases, the elder individual would have to work further in order to survive. But with savings, they would be able to pursue their dreams, help their family members, or put up a self-sustained business that would give passive income that can support them for the rest of their lives.

Join me, in this journey to discover the reasons why we have money and how you can manage your money wisely and properly and achieve true prosperity - and how you can learn to save your money and help you achieve your goals.

Using Your Time, Talent and Treasure

One of the most important aspects in relation to your money is financial planning. Simply put, this involves goal setting, budgeting, controlling the flow of your resources and making good use of your time, talent and treasure.

At the prime of his life, an individual can make full use of his time and energy on various pursuits, which also entails the acquisition of money, properties and other pursuits. As time goes by, the level of available time and energy dwindles, more so with his treasures as he is already faced with additional focus like family, involvement in society, etc.

As the individual approaches his senior years, the focus would not be so much into money-acquisition but rather into transmission. This can take the form of property management, children's needs, or health-related investments.

Carefully planning how to make good use of your time, talent and treasure can prepare you for these periods in your lives. Proper planning can also help you utilize these elements and aligning them towards achieving your goals - and lead you to a fullfilled life.

Join me, in this journey to discover the reasons why we have money and how you can manage your money wisely and properly and achieve true prosperity - and how you can use your time, talent and money - in achieving your goals.

How to Be Financially Fit

The main reason why people work or go into business is to earn money. As mentioned in earlier articles and topics, money is not a bad thing - it's what people do to get or use money that makes it bad. Money is a requirement in order to survive our daily lives and to buy all the essential things you need on a daily basis, no matter what your work is. People who says that they don't need money are either foolish and does not know what they are saying or they are lazy enough not to pursue prosperity in their lives.

Things that people do, whether they be good or bad, are sometimes linked to the emotions as a result of the presence or lack of money. Having money can give a person a sense of security, knowing that any financial hurdles along the way can easily be addressed. On the other hand, the lack of money can cause the person to have all sorts of negative emotions resulting to money-related problems - which can affect not only your family and relationships but also your work or business. This would result in sub-par performance, absenteeism, isolation from social circles, lack of trust, depression and sometimes extreme actions like theft or fraud.

Unless you resolve these issues in your financial fitness at the earlier stage, it would eventually ruin your career or your business, which would plunge you deeper into the financial pit. The first thing you need to do is to learn more about financial management and how you can effectively deal with your financial difficulties. These include several financial-related strategies that you can turn into practical use. Read books, browse the internet, or talk to a certified financial planner that can help you manage your finances and use money wisely.

After learning all these things, the next critical thing you need to do is to act. Knowledge and action are two most powerful things that can help you on your way to financial freedom and success.

Join me in this journey to discover the reasons why we have money and how you can manage your money wisely and properly and achieve true prosperity - and how you can be financially fit and be the best that you can be in all aspects.

M - O - T - H - E - R

http://www.poem4today.com/images/mothers-day-baby-and-mom-hand.jpg

M - O - T - H - E - R

"M" is for the million things she gave me,
"O" means only that she's growing old,
"T" is for the tears she shed to save me,
"H" is for her heart of purest gold;
"E" is for her eyes, with love-light shining,
"R" means right, and right she'll always be,

Put them all together, they spell "MOTHER,"

A word that means the world to me.

(Howard Johnson)

Happy Mother's Day!

Teaching Your Kids about Money

Most children have that simple notion that their parents have money-growing plants hidden somewhere in their closets where all that green stuff that can buy things came from. Or they may think that having that small plastic thingy is enough to let them but whatever they want. That is why it is essential for people to teach children the real value of money as early as possible in life so they can grow into good and responsible people who understands the importance of money and how they should use it wisely.

The first thing to teach them is to let them know that it is hard to get money by giving them chores in exchange for extra allowances. Assign them chores that is not totally easy to accomplish but something that they can do on their own. Give them praises after they accomplish the feat aside from the extra allowances. Explain to them that you are also doing the same thing in order to get that same money you are giving them.

When they want to buy something with their money, explain to them what money should be needed for. Show them the importance of looking at prices and how they should not spend all of their money by buying anything that they can see. Teach them how to save by bringing them to the bank and letting them fill up their own forms and talk to the bank officer.

Lastly, teach them the value of sharing and giving part of their money away to those who are in need and to be thankful always to the money that they receive. Doing so would teach them how to grow as good members of society who knows the real value and meaning of money.

Join me in this journey to discover the reasons why we have money and how you can manage your money wisely and properly and achieve true prosperity - and how we can teach our children to do the same.

Money Management Skills That You Should Have

Knowing the real and intrinsic value of money and what it really means is one important step that people should go through. Secondary to that would be the need to acquire certain money management skills in order for people to effectively manage their finances. The elements of money management include budgeting, investing, saving and debt management.

People have the tendency to focus only on a certain area in money management and then would simply disregard the rest. For example, a lot of people are focusing their efforts only in investment and would simply neglect the other areas. Proper money management should include all aspects in order to achieve the best results.

There are several books and resources that will help people deal with each particular aspect in money management and a lot can be learned from these resources. There are also money management programs available but most are quite expensive and only a few can avail. There may even be scams offering coaching or obscure money management programs and there should be a need to study these first before jumping in.

Money management involves setting goals, forecasting your expenditures, budgeting, saving, dealing with debt and programming the flow of your financial resources. Join me in this journey to discover the reasons why we have money and how you can manage your money wisely and properly and achieve true prosperity.

Money Mistakes that People Make

Most people naturally want to lead a comfortable lifestyle complete with all the amenities and luxurious comforts that money can buy. Many fail primarily because of their failure to plan their finances smartly and manage their resources wisely.

The following are some of the most common financial management mistakes that people make:

* Most do not have measurable goals

* Several individuals fail to make plans for their finances - until a big money crisis comes in

* Many believe that their investments should have an unrealistic gold mine return

* Several are confused between financial planning and tax planning and think they are the same

Financial planning simply involves setting goals, forecasting your expenditures, budgeting and programming the flow of your financial resources. Join me in this journey to discover the reasons why we have money and how you can plan your finances wisely and achieve true prosperity.

Focus Your Home Business

A common mistake for almost all new work at home / home business beginners is the trap of trying to be all things to all people. They will take any job, even if it not what they set out to do, simply because the job pays money.

It's tough to focus, we know!

We know how tough it is to stick to just one thing in your new home business because here we "eat our own dog food". Everyone works from home and knows the successes and difficulties you face and one of the things we have learned for ourselves is that you must focus on just *one* thing to be successful.

An Attitude of Gratitude

Most people think that happiness comes from having great luck or having some great fortune thrown at your feet. Of course it would be a wonderful feeling if you were able to hit the jackpot at the lottery, or gain some new friends, get lots of money, move to a bigger and grander house or travel around the world.

Yes, these are great things, and can be considered as blessings, but in themselves they are actually not enough in order to fully enjoy life. What people need is to develop an attitude ofgratitude.

Gratitude: A Wonderful Thing

What a wonderful feeling it would be if you realize how blessed you are and be able to utter the words, “Thank You, God.” When you see life as a gift, you can have more wonderful experiences with it and gain you a much more wonderful and richer existence. The feeling would be similar to a child who wakes up everyday to Christmas Time.

Contrary to what the general public wants to believe in the concept of gratitude, it is simply not just having what you want but in being satisfied and thankful to what little you may have.

How to Create Gratitude

The way we look at situations and things can be the triggering factor in creating an attitude of gratitude in our lives. Such gratitude comes out naturally when you learn to recognize the value of people, your surroundings and your possessions. Having an appreciative approach to life can help you develop your gratitude and make it a habit.

Gratitude does not mean that you will ignore the negative or bad things in life. This is a reality that everyone should deal with everyday. The key here is to constantly see the good in others until it becomes a natural trait. You can also start by writing down and be thankful for every positive thing that happens in your life.
